Façade Festival is an annual public art initiative and projection mapping festival organized by the Burrard Arts Foundation in Vancouver. The festival aims to create more opportunities for people to experience art without having to step into an art gallery.

I have created two separate productions over the years with Go2 Productions "Contradistinction." exploring the concept of opposites & "Ocean Ghosts". Ocean Ghosts highlights the growing concern and impact of the rising levels of plastic in the oceans today.

The 2017 Façade Festival attracted approximately 40,000 attendees

Utilizing the Vancouver Art Gallery's Georgia Street façade, our team employed contrasting 2D and 3D graphics, precisely mapped manipulations, and depth illusions to transform the building into a dynamic canvas of light and movement. By engaging with the structural outline of the gallery, we pushed the boundaries of digital art and technology, delivering a mesmerizing spectacle that captivated audiences.

Project Results

The 2017 Façade Festival attracted approximately 40,000 with each attendance, with the vibrant artwork widely shared across various social media platforms. Our participation not only showcased the potential of projection mapping in public art but also reinforced Go2 Productions' commitment to enhancing cultural experiences within our home city of Vancouver
